The coolant in your car runs through the engine and prevents it from overheating and causing you problems. It’s important to check the coolant hoses for cracks which would need repairing immediately to avoid coolant fluid leaking and causing your car to overheat. Coolant can also freeze within the hoses and cause further damage to your engine, cylinder head and radiator to name but a few. And because coolant can weaken it’s also important to note that it needs to be changed at a time suited to manufacturer’s guidelines.
